| September 2020 |

Customs Square is happy to welcome Customs Expert Evi Boonen as a new team member.

Evi has a background education in logistics management and customs legislation with extensive experience in customs processes. She has more than 10 years of work experience in an international environment: in the industry, consultancy and as a contractor for the European Commission.

From April 2008 till November 2011 Evi worked as a Customs & Trade Specialist at the International Tax and Internal Audit Division of Toyota Motor Europe, where she (a.o.) supported, advised and controlled internal and external clients, did the follow up of non-cleared documents by contacting customs authorities and customs agents and executed the controlling of non-standard importations done by customs agents.

Subsequently (from July 2013 till March 2016) Evi was able to develop her customs skills as a Customs & Global Trade Consultant at different consultance practices. Some of her main responsibilities consisted of assisting companies in setting up new inbound/outbound flows, executing the mapping and testing of new customs declaration software and working closely with SAP consultants responsible for SAP GTS implementations.

From April 2016 till April 2020 Evi worked as a Managing Consultant Customs & Trade Compliance at NControl, working closely together with the European Commission (DG TAXUD), assisting companies in the fulfillment of the AEO-procedures and giving internal customs training to junior colleagues.

Thanks to many years of following in-house training, assisting clients and testing activities, she has a good knowledge of SAP-GTS and customs declaration software.

By joining Customs Square, Evi will be responsible for (a.o.) advising a wide variety of companies related to the customs and excise legislation, providing assistance during customs audit processes, the reviewing and writing of customs procedures and supporting companies in the field of complex customs topics, such as customs value, transfer pricing and origin.

Welcome aboard, Evi!
